What is this panel called?

    The panel that is just above the trunk, makes up the bottom channel for the back glass, and between quarter panels. Can you take it out? It's pretty rusted around the window channel part and I'm about to reseal my back glass. I don't want to have to take it out again.

    Rear deck filler panel.

    Yes it comes out by drilling about 50 spotwelds along the trunk and rear window - then a couple along the quarter.

    Then and now makes this piece and it is excellent repo.

    I just did mine this summer

    In GM-ese, it's know as a "tulip panel".

    anyone know where to get a replacement/repro sides sides a junkyard? I need one pretty bad.

    Does anyone know of a location that has old 69 Special/Skylark/GS's with good filler panels or business that sells reproduction filler panels?
