Yardley, I thought it was smiles per gallon when you drive a BBB. Anyway, I get 7/8 around town with about 10.5 on the hiway.
Those are 2 positive ways of looking at it. $5 will get me to the gas station to put gas in the car. Gas station 2 miles from home, $5 worth of gas (at approx. $2.00 a gal.), the math ain't addin' up!
Haven't a clue as to mileage. The gas gauge goes down slowly if I keep my foot out of it. Couple of weeks ago I had the GS out and had a brief, but positive, encounter with a Saleen 'Stang and I could see the gauge drop. Pretty quickly, at that! :3gears:
mileage People ask me about mileage all the time, they just seem to be looking for the downside to all the fun. I have 2 responses 1) I get more smiles out of every gallon than most cars out there 2) The average price of a new car is $30,000, I figure the difference between that and what I paid goes to pay for gas. But, for this board I'll make an exception and actually answer the question: 14 mpg highway, 10 around town. My combination is not properly tuned and I expect to do better when I get the carb and distributor working together. I'd really like to get a 200R4 with a lock up converter for the 4 hour trip to Maine I make several times each summer.
