Trying to figure out what most of you run in the back. Stock 8.2 with aftermarket parts or did you do a swap and what was involved? I have a 455 with 425/500 and a local shop here said there is no way to build a 8.2 strong enough for the abuse it will be recieving. Please advise, thank you
8.5 A-body all the way. The Buick 8.2 rears are for restorations. Have future plans to step the car up & run 1.50's, 1.40's 60 foots, upgrade the 8.5 to a HD Eaton 30 spline carrier & Moser 30 spline axles. FWIW, the 8.5 A-body rears I've built that have gone quicker than 1.40 60 foot have all been with 33 spline spool. All were built off the A-10 housing, as well. Got Posi? :3gears: Roger
