anyone know what shade of white i can get to paint my seat panels? iam restoring my orignal seat..plastic panels and nice..just faded..i found a gloss white at home depot..it's just to bright..seat are orignal ivory color. thanks in advance
Can you post the TR # from the cowl plate? If it turns out to be Sandalwood I can get you a mix recipe.
Suppliers like year one sell spray cans of most colors. You need to use a lacquer on these and use a special plastic primer first after cleaning them several times or the paint will run. I have painted many of these with good results. Primer is very important
Well, from now on, please post what car you are working on so we have an idea to give you the right info. For your 70, if you have white, it is Pearl White. Use SEM Super White 15103 available from any local Sherwin Williams auto paint supply store for $7-8/can. Next, contact www.thepartsplaceinc.com and buy there pearl top coat. For your 72, just use SEM Super White You can also use SEM Vinyl Prep 38344 for proper dye adhesion. You can visit SEM site www.sem.ws
thanks thanks for the info..sorry i forgot to put what car i'am working on..70'..i found a wimbleton white from dup-li-color at pep boys....very close color..i did'nt primer them just very lite coats...also i bought chrome seat trim off e-bay.. just to let anyone know it's just universal door edge molding from any parts store..i paid $28.00..could have bought it down at the parts store $13.00 ou:
