What body style that lasted for a single year is your favorite?

What body style, that lasted for a single year, is your favorite? Doesn't matter what make or model. For me, the '68 Olds 442/Cutlass is a sharp car. Your thoughts...

    68......

I'd have to say 68.......so far i've had one of each "A bodys"
I like the looks of a 68 GS over all the rest......1970 is a close second...
    only my opinion though!!! :Brow:
If i could not restore a Buick GS.....I'd go find a 1970 or 71 Ford Torino Sport
with a big block! :Do No:
But for now.........I have a 455 big bad buick on my mind :3gears:

I know it's probably the pick of "the masses", but I go for 1970. I too would like one of each.

Err... can I get a redo?

I changed the title and the body of my post because I wasn't getting my original point across. I've clarified things. Sorry for the mix up. :spank:

    OK,

You've got me a little confused. Do you mean any single year, or any specific body style that was unique to a single year, meaning that the year before and after were drastically changed?

Like the 63 Skylark. Although it shared a lot with the '62, it was visually different. And the '64 was different again.

    OK.

I can't even think of a lot of them off the top of my head. The ones like the '63 Skylark aren't really my favorites.

There's something neat about the 73 and 74 GTO's also (each different models, although based on continuing models), but once again... not my favorites.

I'll be interested to see what others come up with.

Hard to pick just one. My 4 top favorite American cars (and yes I would trade my Skylark for any of them) :Brow:

    1. 1964 Buick Riviera
    2. 1964 Dodge Polara (used to have a beautiful one)
    3. 1955 Chevy
    4. 1941 Willys (in Gasser form of course)

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

Why - 69 GS's of Course !! While similar to 68, there are several sublte differences

    * Hood "bulge" with First year Cold-Air Intakes. The hood Grilles are BE-UTIFUL !!

    * lack of fender grilles - if the '68s were functional I'd like them but.... :puzzled:

    * The COOLEST GS emblem ever made - the '69 GS decklid Swing-Away lock cover

    * TH GS Grille - Much meaner looking than the 68's or the '69 Sky's

OK, now that I get your meaning, I want a do-over! My favorite "one year only" body style would be the '69 Firebird. Specifically, the Trans Am (697 built). I'll take one of the (eight) convertibles, if you're taking orders.

I agree. A perfect, well optioned 58 Impala hardtop or convertible still blows me away at car shows. It just drips with styling. And I'll never be able to afford one :ball:

    73BuickGS455 A Long Restoration

My favorite would have to be either 70 Buick GS,
and in 2nd, the 73 GS (cause after 73 they changed the GS's rear end and lights).

But that's only for Buicks. :Brow: :beer :3gears: :beer
