The powdercoater had a new employee that boxed up the pieces that arrived by mail etc and he mistakenly put my newly coated cover in with someone else's parts. We looked for an hour for the part and didn't locate it. I even gave him time to try to contact others and no one said they received it..It was a brand new unit I purchased from another person. I still feel ill about it. I have used this business on several occasions to do tractors, wagons, car parts when his dad owned it and since his dad retired,it's obviously not the same.I really don't have the time to drag him to court as well as his business is in another county and it's an hour away.I just feel maad that it was a good piece and now I will have to come up with a new one to finish my motor.

I see... I would not drag him into court either, I would simply let him him know that I will repeat the story about how he lost one of my $500 parts by shipping it to the wrong person, to everyone I know locally, then I will go on the internet, and tell it there every place I can.

If he has half a brain as a businessman, he will pony up the $ for the new cover.

Needless to say I have a new powder coat guy. I talked to a few guys that had situations like mine and it's not worth it to lose work, keep driving down there and having to deal with the pain in the butt. I'll just have to mow the cemetery this summer to make enough to get a new TA cover. A lesson learned to me. But word of mouth is travelling about on this situation.

I'm running a ProFu cover on my 464 and it took a lot of time to make it usable, Gears were not square to the housing amongst a few other things a Novice probably would not have seen and it would have caused some serious issues, If at all possible try to find a TA cover, it's worth the extra cash!

I might have to set up a payment plan and just get another one..I will say this,They are a damn fine and nice piece.like everything else I have purchased. I am working OT and saving up to get one for sure.

Well, it's not cheaper to do it twice, im not saying all Chinese covers are bad but If you are like me you can't really afford to take the risk!
