i have bought two full sets in the last year and a half, some off a 2005 chrysler pacifica, and some off a olds cutlass. the centerbore is so unusually large, that even when you manage to find the also uncommon 5 on 5 bolt pattern, you still cant get them on riviera hubs. i have a great lead on some 17x8 alloys from a 2wd chevy 1/2 ton truck. does anyone know if these would be compatible? am planning for 255-50-17. please help me !!! mathew, in renton WA
Stop wasting your time with the cutlass wheels. 5 lug Chevy & GMC truck wheels fit, some mid to late 70's full size (LTD. Marquis, Lincoln) Ford wheels fit the 5X5 pattern. There are several full size (Buick, Cadillac, Olds) GM cars from the 70's that use the 5X5 pattern as well. Search "chrome wheels" on the net and you will find a few companies that have listings for the correct wheel size and bolt pattern used for both domestic and foreign manufacturers. I believe there were some jeep Grand Cherokee's in the late 90's-early 2000 models that also used the 5X5 pattern. Good luck, Randy
well see i also have had and heard of a lot of issues with the centerbore on 60s buick wheels in general. i am about 14 hours from winning a set of 17" american racing aluminum wheels with a 5x5 pattern, they are on the sellers chevy 1/2 ton. i really need to know ASAP if they are all around compatible, as far as hubs and brake rotors, centerbore, etc.... i KNOW the bolts will fit but what of the rest? the bolts fitting doesnt help much if just one other thing isnt kosher... also, does anyone know how i can expect my gas mileage to change on a close to stock <b4b alum intake, ta shorty headers, 2.5 exhaust, very minor amateur chamber cleanup>, going from the stock 1 legger, to a 3.23 posi? am i correct in believing my gears are 3.07 on a 67 riviera, non GS? i am the typical street driver, ZERO track use, mostly stock, just a little punch now and then, to show em what these buicks can do, and a fair amount of traffic use, stoplights galore, i live in the suburbs or renton washington. please help, much appreciated, thank you!!!!
