im getting a deal on some MT ET streets, my friend has decided to bracket race his nova and is going to full slicks now. These are 26x10.5x15. The problem is that i dont have any 15" wheels at the moment and the catalog says they need 8.5" wide wheels. what wheel is everyone running with these or similar tires. im on a tight budget, so i was thinking i could use a pair of 15" buick rallyes, or chevy ralleys with buick caps. but now i dont think theyll be wide enough. any suggestions.

    E T streets

Hi , just read your post on the steet slicks, I also run 26x10.50 et streets on a 7 inch factory rim . I run them all the time, street and strip, the tires look fine, dont stickout too far, and most importantly, dont attract attention to themselves, the treadwidth of those tires is only 9 inches I think and ive always heard that the tread and rim width should be within 1.and 1.5 inches. I drive on the street with 26-30lbs and drop to around 16-12 depending on how its hooking up . I also got caught in a slight drizzle one night ,HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED!!!!! GOOD LUCK...

Those factory rims will be fine, I run a Hoosier QTP 26x9.5-14 on a pair of 14x6 steel rims, no problems at all.

You could also just buy a pair of cheap steel wheels in 15 x 8.
