about 2 years ago i got a rebuilt trans from t&a performance. they had a guy up in delaware and 2 other locations rebuild them so i went up there to get it. i installed it along with a new torque convertor from poston it was the one that gets better gas mileage. now the car has been sitting ever since and has never been on the raod, but i have driven it around the yard a few times the trans has less than 20 moles on it. now the problem is that it feels as the gears dont engage properly and when in reverse you give it gas and it does not move until the rpms drop feels like slipping.in forward gears it feels likes its binding. i pulled the pan off and found aluminum and other particles in the bottom of the pan. the trans lines leak so it did have low fluid at a point in time. ANYWAYS what does this sound like a bad rebuild or is it cause the torque convertor  :af:
Fix the leaks. Then make sure the trans fluid level is correct. Also check and make sure the vacuum modulator is hooked up to manifold vacuum, and there are no vacuum leaks. How much aluminum was there in the pan?
By trans lines are you meaning the cooler lines? I wouldnt blame the rebuild or the converter. i would blame the dummy that drove his car around the yard knowing his tranny lines were leaking.
I have heard of mice eating up some good interiors but you might want to check out the "20 moles on it" they may have eaten through the lines or wiring. Where is the car parked? Be glad you didn't find any beavers under the hood too!
