    Amen to that!

    So true.

No repairs, but the frame was a roller when I bought it. I had it shipped from Oklahoma to Florida, and the guy who transported it strapped it to his rig using the rear most body mounts. He really had it wrenched down, and I feel like I can see that it's off in the back. OK, I've convinced myself to call that shop this week.

Thanks Wheelz! Keep the pictures coming.

Hey Joe....If you have a GM Fisher Body manual for your CORRECT year vehicle...(the attached illustration is from my '70 FB manual) you will find one simular in your manual with dimensions and accurate measuring points to check the chassis on your own if ya wanna give it a try..? Moe Pix: The chassis, now almost completely assembled, has tons of picky-little anal detailing that makes this a way way over restored chassis...and probably 99% of you dont care to ever do this amount of work...HOWEVER..its WHAT I WANT! And I'll love the look of the red/gold/shiney black with correct grey shocks etc... it will just look clean... I still have a bunch of work to do before mating the engine/trans to this work of art. :beer Wheelz, Tampa Bay

    Hey Wheelz,
Yep, I have the same drawings for both the '67 that is on the car, and the '65 I bought to replace it. I will try to measure it myself before sending it off. I'll have to level it on some stands first as you had suggested.

Question: What paint did you use on the sway bars and steering parts?

    Thanks,

Joe...because media/sand/blasting leaves a film residue, once parts are blasted and blown off...I wash every part in 'TIDE" liquid detergent and warm water...then I wash them again with MATRIX MX9000 a pre-cleaner and wax/grime remover. When the parts have dried good in the WARM FLORIDA SUNSHINE... I use VHT Cast coat Iron, Silver, Grey and various other colors to MY liking! The sway bars were at one time painted black but I repainted them Cast Coat Iron. The backing plates I applied Rustoleum BRIGHT SILVER... I applied various different colors for contrast...If you are not building a concourse car...I say, 'paint it the way YOU want it...!" I knew, quite a while back what color the car will be painted...so I try to use colors that will highlight, offset contrast and yet present a 'sporty look' by enhancing the final appearance....Ooh Yeeea, it will all come together nicely in the end!!! YOU'll SEE! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

I got laid off two weeks before Christmas but have been able to work (when its not to cold) on my TR7 with a Buick V6 motor. I changed the front rotors, calipers, brakes, and rubber brake lines. I think I will start cleaning up the Mustang rearend next and then the wiring mess. Hope to have the car ready to bracket race when the season starts in March.

Assuming those are 455s (with oil pans) on there, a few dimensions would be great.

    And your work looks great.

I'm going to "try to" pull this thread back on track...I spent the last few days diggin thru manual parts/trannys/linkages/forks etc.. I've accumulated since 1971...I "believe" I have everything together now, to move onto a Muncie M-21 wide ratio tranny rebuild. Instead of buying new repro's, I'll send the original clutch/tranny/bell linkages off to a local plater for gold chromium cad plating like the originals. Hope they dont charge me too much. :Dou: We'll see...More to come soon! Wheelz, Tampa Bay

Hey..this is for BadBrad....the inside dimensions for this sinchy-to-build, easy-to-move 455 rollin engine crate are as follows: 15 x 22. Thats it. INSIDE dimensions. 2x6 frame screwed together and 4 steel/rubber home depot casters. I have all of my 455's on this simple roller and they move around very easily!:TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

..Back to the original topic...I have disassembled all the linkages for the shifter, tranny and clutch, and I am having these replated the factory gold chromium anodize next week. I am also trying to re-live my long-ago expertise on rebuilding Muncie trannies...which I havent done in well-over 18 years :Dou:...hope it all comes back to me!? we'll see. More chassis details to come soon. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
