What's my dash color?

    Hi from Tampa,

I working on "restoring" my 65 Skylark, and I'm wondering what the color of my dashboard pad vinyl should be. My interior color is Parchment (basically a silverish-gold), but my existing dashboard pad is a funky kinda olive green. It is quite cracked and sun-baked. Even the areas that would have been protected from the sun are also this same dark green color.

So, I wonder if the dash pad was originally black, but the sun faded it out to this weird olive green-ish color, OR, was the dash pad also a light gold color that the sun discolored. There seems to be very little support for the gold interior color, and I can't find any info on color selections.

SO.......if any of you fine gents know what color my dash pad would have been back in '65, I'd sure appreciate the advice.

Strange is all I can say. Find the trim code on autocolor library. The back page shows component colors.

take off the pad and flip it over to see where the sun didn't fade it maybe that will help as well..

Thanks for the advice guys. I could not research it on the color website mentioned. Also, in my original post I do mention that that the under side of the vinyl looks the same as the sun-cracked side. Kinda strange indeed. Maybe I'll just pick something I like that goes well with the gold, and not worry about losing points at Pebble Beach.
