I was kind of wondering what was the best all around street cam? I now have Poston's 113A cam, and I am,overall, happy with it. I was just wondering if there was a cam that would give an even smoother idle, and here's the hook, without giving up any performance. I've heard of these Series 4 or Group 4 cams. I think Gessler is running one. Any comments or opinions? I'm possibly going to a Gessler worked over Performer intake and q-jet and losing the SP1 and Holley 950HP. But as I said, I don't want to slow the car down!!! I was thinking as long as the top half is off if I might want to swap out the cam. Thanks. Phil
Phil, i know a lot of guys running the Maxi 3 from Kenne-Bell in "iron engines" There was a guy at Cecil running 11.00 compression, iron intake & manifolds running high 11's. I run this cam in the '68 it idles 750 to 800 in gear & has vacuum for brakes, not to mention i ran 10.54 with it. Norm Diehl can get this cam if needed. Randy
