I have run those on that size rim and so have others here. Only on the back of course. They will clear a 70 body with ease . I do not know about a 67.

You can put a 275/60 on a 15x7 rim, but it will look slightly "bulgy". I believe the biggest "recommended" size is a 255/60R15.

Thanks guys for all your help. I'm still not sure what I want to do , right now I have 275/60/15's on the back & boy talk about a snug fit I only have an 1/8" clearace, I could cut away some of the iner quarter wheel opening but I'm not sure I want to do that.If I go whit a 255/60 I will lose 1 inc of highth and i'm sitting level right now or at least it looks that way .I can go with a 255/70/15 and I would gain 1 inc but not sure how it would look too much side wall maybe  .I do know that I like the wheel well to look nice and full

Only an 1/8" of clearance?? What is your backspacing. I had my 275/60R15's on 15x8's with 4.5" backspacing and I had 1" on both the inside and outside.

The back spacing is 4.5 . I have a 12 bolt rearend so that makes the rims stick out a little farther then if I had the stock 10 bolt. So what do you think would you go with the 255/70 to maintain the highth or the look of the smaller side wall.

I have a corporate 8.5 10-bolt, which should be the same width as your 12-bolt.

I think the difference is that mine is a 67 gs with a 68 abody rear end 64-67 are the same size and 68-72 are different I think the differance is an inch or so between the two
