    Bruce,

After some searching, I found this info in a post Duane responded to.

    Steve,

    Wheel Code reads:

    B 15 x 7 JJ
    23 903 M4
    7 K 2

    15 x 7 is the size
The code "M4" is the manufacturer and plant code. (Motor Wheels, Plant # 4)
If the number "7" is directly under the "M4" the Date would be the following;(Year, Month, Day)
For this wheel it would probably be 1977, October, 2nd, which would have been for a 1978 car.
This same date code is stamped on the back side of the rim. A set of letters follows it and denotes the offset and type of rim. Your wheels probably say "WP".
I don't know about the 23 903 codes, give me some time.
I will write up an article for the "Build Sheet" that will help decode 15 x 7 rims.
    Hope this helps.
    Duane

    Bruce,

Looks like the year should be 1969! Could your wheels be dated 11/21/69? If so this would be for model year 1970.

    Bruce,
    The wheel code should read
    M4/9 11 21 6.0 with the number 9 under the M4

    This would decode as
The code "M4" is the manufacturer and plant code. (Motor Wheels, Plant # 4)
The number "9" directly under the "M4" is the year of production, namely 1969
The numbers 11 21 is the date which would be November 21st
The 6.0 is the size, which would be for a 6" wheel, Buick relaced this type number with wheel codes starting later in the 70 production year. (Note sometimes the "period" is left off the 6.0)

So you have a 14x6 wheel dated Nov. 21, 1969, which would be correct for a 70 car produced in Late Nov 69-thru Jan of 70 or so.
