Other than beating with a ball peen hammer like I usually do,
is there a good way to remove a rim ding on a rally wheel.
Bought a nice set of 15s on ebay and Fedex must have dropped one.
So I'd like to not make it worse looking if possible.

Back up the dent with a flat hammer, then use a plastic hammer on the front.

Sounds like it might work, found a plastic hammer cheap at Savage.
Will give it a try, still waiting for Fedex to resove issue with seller.
They also lost one of the wheels, so I have a nice set of three!:spank:
Seller maybe should have boxed them better obviously, so who knows what happened. The third one came in a different box than original.
Maybe a Buick guy working for Fedex needed a wheel.:Do No:
They never lose the $5 item you buy on ebay!

We used to fix rims when I worked at a gas station. It wasn't cosmetic, though.

Banging on the rim is a lot easier on a tire machine. We could get out minor dings so the tires would seal.

Try the plastic hammer as suggested, or use a peice of wood as a buffer.

Hi Roger; Did it come out? I was a Tinsmith at "THE BUICK" in Flint and we used to hammer out dings, dents, bends..all kinds of mangled up metal. Except on Cars. I wish I had kept all of my old stuff, it would have came in handy for my new hobby.

Haven't tried yet, the guy that I bought them from says to wait.
The fourth hasn't shown up yet either, so probably was trashed at Fedex.
He says he is trying to get two new wheels from them so will wait.
Maybe I'll come out with a spare wheel if I'm lucky.:Do No:

Clamp down the rim and use an a djustable wrench to pull the bend out. I used this several times in steel rims while working @ Pep Boys.

I second that, the easiest way to straighten out a ding without the proper tools is use a cresent wrench, and pull slowly. If you go to far mallet it back
