I recently had brake work done on my 1971 Buick Skylark and the shop must have overtightened the lug nuts because they were next to impossible to get off when I was recently changing wheels. One of the wheel studs on the rear passenger side broke off and now I need to remove it and put in another one. Does anyone know how I can get the stud out? There is still a little bit sticking out of the rear drum. Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Chris...Just remove the rear drum and tap the old one out with a hammer. To install, put the stud through the back of the flange. Take a regular open style lug nut and thread it on with the taper facing you. As you tighten the lug nut, it will press the stud in.

    Or

Go pick one up at Parts World and bring it by the house. I'll pop it in for ya! :beer

    >>Hi Jason. Thanks for the advice! I'm going to pick up the part tomorrow after work and will give it a shot this weekend (probably Sunday as it is supposed to rain on Saturday). I'll let you know how I do in case I need your help.
