OK, time to put something less, uh, grandpa on the LeSabre. I really like the Torq Thrust D wheels. The '63 LeSabre has a 5 on 5 lug pattern, yes? Want to make sure the wheels and tires will clear the little things like shocks and exhaust pipes when I put them on. To complicate matters. I'm putting the Scarebird front disk conversion on. Their website states something like: The calipers MAY fit into the Buick 15" rims.
ANYBODY got any experience with this? Guess I oughta see if the Buick Road wheels will fit over the calipers first, then check offset, etc before I drop the $$ on the Torq Thrust D's.
Dangit, Tire Rack's chart go back to what, like '78?!? What's up with THAT?
Throwing it out there in csase one of you guys has already been there. Thanks, H.

I was considering the same (more or less) for my 63, except I was thinking 17".
Tough choice as I have a set of 64 Rallys on it.
Go to AmericanRacing website, they have 63 LeSabre listed on their fitment chart.

Before I begin the disk brake conversion on the LeSabre, to make damned sure the big Caddy calipers clear, I bought a set of American Racing Wheels in 17" and Yokohama YK580 tires in 235-60-17 which is REAL close to the 225-75-15 (H78-15!) diameter. Orange oil? Hope they smell good. Maybe they'll keep gnats away too Discount Tires pretty much whooped up on the competition.

Found out quickly that the selection for 17" wheels with a 5 on 5 lug pattern is very limited. I ended up going with the American Racing VN309, or TTO. Tire selection is limited as well, but the Yoko should be a good product. Can't wait to pick them up.
