My son has inherited grandmas 96 Century with 40K and 14 small wheels. I want to get him some new wide 15-16 wheels and wide tires to give it a cruiser look. However, as he wants solid black color rims it has been hard to find any acceptable mag rims. I was thinking of buying him standard 15-16 painted steel wheels then just adding chrome lugs and a center cap to give the look some character. I have been told by the local tire store that the lugs will work but there are no caps made for standard steel rims. Is this true?

Steve have a look over at www.tirerack.com If you input the car, and click on wheels, it will show you a bunch of wheels that will fit. See if your son likes any of them.
