    George,

You can get ARP head bolts from Summit, P/N 125-3601 $62.95/set.

TA also has head bolts (not sure what brand - possibly ARP, P/N TA1129, $60.00/set.

TA also has the intake bolts, P/N TA1111-430, $39.95/set. The bolts for a 400/430 are 3/8", and the bolts for a 455 are 7/16". Be sure you get the ones for a 400/430.

TA also lists bolts for the exhaust manifold bolts (stainless steel), P/N TA1118, $39.90/set.

I just found exhaust manifold bolts by Totally Stainless in Year One's catalog, P/N TS62, $11.30/complete set. Don't know about the quality though, ...sounds TOO cheap.

ok i had to order ARP head bolts cause i could not locate a set of new stock head bolts,i wanted to ask do i torque the ARP bolts as if they were stock?or they use different torque specs?

    Thanks

Stock torque specs with the bolts, unless ARP says otherwise. I am using TA bolts. I used the stock specs and have had no problems for over a year now. I think studs need different torque.

I just spent 10min. pulling out a 67 430 block for you. All 10 bolts on each side deffinitely do not require silicone. None lead to a water jacket. Same thing goes for the intakeman. bolts. I also looked at the heads.

George - ARP highly recommends using the moly lube on both the threads and under the bolt head/washer. Doing both will minimize the effects of friction and let the TQ reading be the most accurate.

Follow the TA method of TQ & re-TQ (3 times I believe). Not only does it help seal the head gasket, the bolts actually NEED pre-stretching before final TQing.

Thanks alot RG67BEAST i appreciate it.

Scott,i thought the torque and re-torque would be for aluminum heads rather than stock cast head?

    thanks

Stock bolts are suppost to be torqued to 100-120 ft. lbs according to service manual, but ARP says 130 ft. lbs?what do i torque them to?

    Thanks
