I have a 68 GS california and I have seen the same car but with black door panels on "My classic car" the Maroon Belle was the episode. I "White" need door panels and I need to know how rare the sport steering wheel with the "White" horn piece was? I want to know because I am going to swap it out with a cheap'o so it wont get broke I have never seen one in any other cars. I have a picture of the door panel but not the steering wheel any help is appreciated

It might be a little tough finding door panels. The GS California was based on the Special Deluxe series, and I'm pretty sure no one is making repo's of those right now. You could always check out a pair of door panels for the 68 Skylark to get by.

I have no idea on the value of the white sport wheel, but since I don't recall seeing one before, it's probably a good idea to replace it for now.

Is this the white sport wheel "cap" you are talking about?

They do make reproduction wood wheels (just under $300  ) but the horn cap is the real hard part to find. Most of the caps have cracks, you can see in mine has one at the 4-o-clock position.

That's the same steering wheel I had in my red post 68 Cal. GS. It had the white int. also.
A previous thread had a discussion on these rare steering wheels. Apparently some 67 GS's had them installed from the dealer as a replacement because the solid plastic ones cracked easily.
Every plastic 67 steering wheel I find is cracked. I still have the 68 wood wheel and it's mint. Great design.

Yeah thats the steering wheel alright I am going to replace it with a much smaller steering wheel and keep the sport one on my wall. I love my car but I hate that I cant get parts that I need for it.
