I have oil filled coil so it must be mounted upright plus I have a performer intake.
My question is where do I mount the coil?
I currently have it hanging of the Altenater bracket (looks like hillbilly heaven) I do not recall if the coil mounted on the old iron intake?
Where do you guys mount yours?
I will remove the ac firewall housing over the winter so that is an option but one long coil wire.

    Dave,
Stock location was in front of the intake with a circular bracket. You can get a replacement bracket from Jegs or Summit. They are made by MSD and others.

I will have to look closer I did not see bolt holes for a bracket.

On the lower alternator bracket(aluminum), the bolt on top that goes into the head. That is the single mounting point for the coil bracket. The bracket itself has a screw that tightens the bracket around the coil. Very simple. Take a close look at the picture, you can just see the bolt I am talking about to the left of the coil. It is right behind my copper oil pressure line.

Screw to tighten coil into bracket is right behind heater hose where it says NAPA..............just in front of and left side of coil.
