When using aluminum heads do I still run the battery negative cable to the heads or must I now ground at the engine block?

Nothing to worry about. Aluminum is a much better conductor of electricity compared to iron.

Stock mounting locatiion on a non AC car was to the aluminum alternator bracket. I guess Buick thought aluminum was good enough. Besides the aluminum heads are a hell of alot more dense than the alt. bracket.
