OK, i give up, where is the power window circuit breaker located on a 1968 Riviera??? I have both the Buick Chassis manual and the Fisher body manual. The best clue i can get is from the body manual where they say it is "located on the upper shroud panel conclealed by the instrument panel assembly"......well i know they put them in hard to reach locations, but i've laid on the floor with a flash light and a mirror and i'll be damned if i can find it.....

In my, '67 Olds 98 it was in the driver-side door!!!???!!!
GM engineers, must have been drunk! You are looking for the, now rusted relay, right?

Yes, i think thats the culprit as theres no juice to any of switches but there is juice at the fuse block. Since i have A/C and the huge DELCOTRON FM stereo gizmo its impossible to see anything up under the dash. What were they thinking when they located these things, even the fuse block takes a contortionist to examine! Oh well time to start pulling out A/C ducts....and naturally the thing failed with the windows down

On my '67 the window relay is behind the radio mounted on the firewall. The circuit breaker is on the fuse panel.

If yours is anything like mine was, and it probably is, you may have broken wires inside the boot going from the driver's door to the car. I just took out the whole harness and cut out a 1' section of all the wires where they go through the boot and spliced in new ones that will flex without breaking as the door is opened and closed.

This is a tough job to do, you'll probably have to remove your instrument cluster in order to gain access to everything. Good luck!

Thank you sir, your location sounds similar to the manual description. Its funny, the 68 GM & Fisher manuals have, what i consider to be, excellent drawings of _everything_ in these cars. I've spent hours looking at all of them and i can't find this sucker depicted anywhere.....
As to the wiring through the door boot. Yes i was hoping to find a broken wire (the +12V supply to the master switch) but they look OK (decent repair by a previous victim...). Also, the fact that none of the individual window switches work is further evidence that its the relay, in my thinking. And, when i pull the drivers side master switch and jumper +12 to each contact the windows work.

Again, thanks for your knowledge....will advise on the outcome...which may take awhile.

Take the dashpad off, super easy.

The power window relay on a '68 Electra is behind the DS kick panel.

I had the same prob, you have to take the soft dash pad off and it is right under where the front speaker is, The relay is mounted on the firewall.
