Why should the belt change? Use the one from the stock alternator.

Don't i need to switch to a V belt or Serpintine from the stock belt? Sorry I'm new with this.

Your original belt is a V belt, a replacement alternator, one wire or not, has nothing to do with which pulley you use, serpentine or V belt.

If you're not familiar with the difference between the two, let us know.

If the pulley on your new alt is not the same as your stock one, it can be swapped out as well. I wanted my stock 2 groove pulley and O'reilly's swapped it out for me when I bought my one wire alternator from them.
