    Hi,
My coil quit, which is a good replacment. I want it to look stock , fit in the stock spot , currently standard points ignition, but planning upgrades.
    Thanks Bruce

    NAPA makes a good one.

Best (& only) oil filled coils to get are:

    NAPA IC12
    MSD 8200
    Summit G5215
    Carquest 26189

Each one of these has been tested & recommended by IgnitionMan.

Thanks for the reply. I'll price the NAPA at lunch today, they smile everytime I come in the door $$$$$$$ to spend.

The NAPA coil is really expensive compared to the Car Quest coil. According to IgnitionMan (Dave), they are both made by the same people, and to the very same specification. He says both are now made in Mexico, but are good coils.

Some day all of Mexico will come here and live and we can all go there and live and enjoy the nice weather. Then made in Mexico will be like made in the USA used to be. Sort of.:bglasses:

Here in Southern California, the NAPA coil is about 45 dollars, the Car Quest is 19 dollars, at least at both the stores near me.
