I just got my hands on a 1970 gs 350 with a 455 swapped into it. The 455 is out of a 1971 electra, the first thing i want to do is replace the engine harness cause its really brittle and there are cut/loose wires everywhere. Im planning on ordering a harness from OPGI, but my question is should I stay with a 350 engine harness or order the 455? is there much difference between the two?

I got mine from M&H, they will take a stock harness and make any mods to it you need.

New harness is like 160.00 order it for what you have 455 auto? A/C? Th400?
The 400 trans has a electric kick down.

Suggestion: if everything fits on the 455 with the 350 harness, I suggest sticking with that. Frequently, A/C compressor, alternator, regulator etc are different for different engines. Not being sure could lead to headaches.

I'd get the M&H harness for the 455... They can make it "custom" if you have converted to HEI, upgraded to internal alternator, etc.
The 71 electra 455 is same engine as standard (NON-STAGE) GS 455 engine... same block, heads, crank, rods, intake, carburetor (think distibutor too).
