Hey, but you forgot to say how much..:dollar: ..?

Input shaft seems to be the weak point once you put better clutches and servo in one. That and forced-shifts at a lower RPM than you want depending on what valve-body you have. you can heat treat the shaft, and then hope it stays in the drum, or get a billet shaft and special welding into the drum. All that torque hurts things much more than a smooth spooling up of a V6. I was quoted $3500 from PTS Extreme for a 500HP reliable trans. Not cheap for a bullet-proof job! (maybe it's because I broke the crap out of the last one he did for me?)

You have to be careful about pan-slosh in the high-g acceleration too, they suck air once or twice and it's all over for 2nd gear clutches. Revised filter setup ( PTS adapts a TH350 filter to suck from the very rear of the pan), deep pan, over-fill it a quart, or all three! Smooth power of a turbo V-6 doesn't seem to have this problem most of the time I suspect.

Both the 700 and 200 are very good choices but the 200 has a few advantages.

    1. Better gear spacing (the 700 has a big drop between 1st and 2nd gears.)
    2. 200 is about the same length as a th350 making it easier to swap into cars that had one originally.
    3. No adapter plate

Find a reputable builder.TurboBuick is a good source and make very sure you set the TV cable correctly and you should be good to go.
