Looking at Summit racing wheels in 15x8 that are similar to Buick wheels but dont see Buick specific--will the Chevy 396 wheel do the same thing? Is it just a matter of putting the Buick center cap in? Pete
Just order the Buick Rallye wheels from Then and Now. The Wheel Vintiques Series 57 are the Buick wheels, but you may have a problem getting them. Summit may not list them in the catalog, but they are a full line supplier. Anything that WV makes they can get. Just call them and ask for the Wheel Vintiques Series 57 wheel. I would just get them from Mark Reeves at Then and Now. http://www.thenandnowauto.com/index...category_id=6&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=39
Thanks Larry but I was looking for an 8" pair to put only on the rear of my car---doesn't appear Then/Now has 8 inchers. Pete
I have Wheel Vintiques 15X8 Buick repros all the way around, and am very happy. Well worth the long wait. If Then and Now sells Wheel Vintiques, they should be able to order them, even if they don't stock them. Regards, John.
The Chevy wheel has a arched spoke outward. The Buick is flat to concave. Most people would never know it is not a BUICK but there is a difference.
Thanks for the wheel input men--guess I'm on hold for awhile---I really need to get $600/$700 to put DISC BRAKES on my front wheels!! My drums aren't doing it--even though they are fairly new and adjusted properly.Took a ride down to the beach from about 1500' elevation and they were getting REAL warm to the last stop sign in Malibu!!! Next stop was the PACIFIC:laugh: I can see why BUICK made them mandatory starting in 71 on the 455.
