My GS was originally Pearl but I think I want to go with a standard white for ease of matching up pieces I need to paint or dye. Plus I would think a bright white would look better than Pearl with a black car. Are there any year Buicks with a standard white interior so I can tell Legendary to use that material/color code?
The 69 cars came with a pearl white interior and when it's new it looks gorgeous. If you use a different color it will probably cost more, and will not look as good. Plus it may affect your car's price if you do decide to sell it. Just something to think about. Duane
Same thoughts here....KEEP THE ORIGINAL INTERIOR COLOR---THE PEARL. >Look CLOSELY at the backside of any original plastic parts you have from the car and determine IF THESE PARTS WERE EVEN PEARL. Possibly not so look close. >If so---no problem on the plastic parts----you can get a pearl topcoat to use over whatever vinyl paint/dye you spray the parts with. Contact Ames Performance Engineering (Pontiac repro parts vendor). The black exterior with a pearl white interior is unique and A KNOCKOUT!!!! Great, great combo you don't see very often.
I am going with pearl white vinyl for my interior and top. Found some last week at a nearby trim shop. They had two big rolls of Madrid and Levant grain vinyls. Even had matching original headlining material. I bought all they had on the spot. This thread is of interest to me because I was wondering how I would dye any of the plastic pieces. Glad to know pearlescent dyes are available. :TU: David
