After attending the recent Buick-Ford shootout at Noble,OK it got me to thinking who are the (10) fastest big block Buick drag cars in the country? Mike Garrison was the fastest big block Buick at Noble with a great 10.30.For some reason Jerry Chambers from Edmond,OK didnt have his blown Skyhawk there this year.In 2003 I saw it run a 9 at 150 before shelling out the rear end. As I both farm and work a factory job I dont have much time to travel to see some 8-9 second Buicks run.Sure would like to see a couple of you come to Noble,OK next year. From reading on here I know there are quite a few out there.
Just off the top of my head I am almost positive that the tenth car would be below 9-flat......... Scott Guadagno 7.67 Rod Hendrickson 7.90's Dave Mongeon 8.0's The Zerucha's 8.10 The Dehabey's 8.50's Big Doug 8.74 The Clarks 8.70's Wonderdog 8.70's Geof Ketchum 8.80's Rich Brouwer 8.90's There's more but this was a quick answer....... Csordas....How could I forget? That's one of the nicer Skyhawks out there,Been at least 8.70's,Maybe .60's
Guys, Thanks for all the info.If I were to go to Bowling Green,KY next year how many of the fastest 10 or 20 big block Buicks would I be able to see run at BG? I have both an 85 and 86 T-Type Regals but after watching all the big block Buicks run at Noble I have the fever for a 455 powered car.I really need something like this. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2498040330
Pretty much all of them will be at BG. After we all qualify for the Super 16 we drive to the local Dog and Suds in our race cars for a cruz night. Well, at least Rod does. I guess he will have to put an end to that if he buys Scott's car :ball:
yeah I wish. Scott's car is to low. Rod would rip off the front end if he went over a curb. Granted his whole front end comes off. There are no laws saying you can't drive around with no front end, right!?! We'll just mount some flash lights on the chassis for head lights :TU:
