The printing company I work for is open. It's a good day for the production end, they always have plenty to do, but on the sales / customer service side where I work. The majority of the businesses we do work for are closed. So, here I sit at my desk. No job tickets to write, no quotes to work up, and if the phone does ring it will probably be the wife. This is gonna be a long one!
Yep, setting here too, Dale. I own an insurance agency and gave everybody else the day off (the nice boss that I am...) and am working it by myself today. Be kinda busy so far, had a claim, took 2 change requests, some other stuff. It will now probably die out for the rest of the day now that I've said that. Oh well, pass the Egg Nog...
It is what they call a "soft" holiday for us. Minimum amount of people on call. I am in a medical field service position and they treat on days like today. I voluteered for today, and now I do not need to worry about involutary being required to work on the Monday following Christmas, which is another soft holiday. So I am holding onto my phone awaiting any problems. In the mean time, I am going to take the Buick out for a spin and check out the kick down that I just got functioning properly yesterday. Yes, I am still thankful ! Mike

Stop the presses! We have a change! 8.5 x 14. That's a bad cut. It's gonna cost ya! You sure you don't also need that Scored, Perfed, Blind embossed, Die cut for a business card, tabbed shut, inserted into the #10 and inkjetted from a mail merge file.? To the post office on Monday right? At least it's in Quark and not Publisher! :spank:
I was supposed to be off yesterday and today. Was going to go to the AZ Auto Show today. Ended up coming to work yesterday and today. We're trying to start one of the units back up and blew the silver seal out of 3 big check valves. Now they're trying to figure out why and how weree going to fix them  Oh well good holiday pay. Time to rebuild that Tranny!
Day After Thanksgiving Been busy here. With many people off, they are working on the classics and I'm answering alot of tech questions.
7/24 I am also working today. There is a reduced staff mechanical crew on duty due to an official holiday. However, the railroad never never shuts down totally. Never unless a natural disaster occurs that prevents train operations. Could be worse though. I have not seen unemployment lines in over twenty years. George
The trains never stop moving. I live near a big rail yard north of downtown Mpls. Even on a holiday like Christmas you can hear them humping cars. Shreech BANG!
Man,You guys are so unlucky. You will have to get yourself a good old Gov't job like me.I have been laying around the house most of the a.m.Seriously though,I am waiting anxiously just to be able to drop that snow plow and fling salt all over I-80. Pat :beer
I'm on call 24/7 so there is never a day off.  But it pays for the cars.
I had to work both yesterday and today. We only shut down for 2 holidays a year, Christmas and Easter. Have to work the rest, unless it happens to fall right in the schedule for me to have them off. Very seldum does that happen though o No: Dan :3gears:
Text is in Quark but the photos are in NotePad :eek2: I also need them to be numbered, 1st 5,000 even numbers 2nd 5,000 odd. The mail merge file is in Mandarin Chinese I need it converted to Portugese, can you do that in a script font? No need for proofs, just make sure it's right. Oh and one more thing, can you put a hot wax stamp on the seal of the envelope and front me the postage? Beth
