I was just wondering, as my own collection is growing, who else has a HUGE collection of GSXs. At the GSX Registry website, there is a list of EVERY model GSX ever made, so far. Out of 65 cars available (according to that list), I am only missing 7, for my "Complete" GSX collection! :eek2: :bglasses: Anyone else have as many, or more GS/GSXs? o No: :bglasses:
Mine has to be very close. I've helped Mark with the list, as some of the pics on the site are of mine. I'll have to look at his list closer, and see where I am these days. I still need the recent set of 4, and the black kit. Have you gotten the new Route 66 ones yet Scott? Jeff
Hey Jeff :bglasses: I got the Black kit before Christmas, and I got the set of 4 AT Christmas. I'm aware of the Route 66 GSX, I just haven't seen one in the store, yet, but I'll get one as soon as I do, though! :TU: For 1/18, I still need: '71 Stratomist Blue GSX '71 Fire Red GSX '71 Bittersweet Mist GSX '70 GS Diplomat Blue For 1/64, I need: JL Toy Fair New York JL Toy Fair Hong Kong JL White GSX with Tin That will complete my collection, by the end of this year! :bglasses:
Scott, most of those are popping up on e-bay, and have gotten a little more reasonable lately. There are 2 in the Route 66 series. One chrome chase car, and the burgandy one. Found both at K-mart right before Christmas. A friend had the Stratomist one for sale at one point. I'll see if he ever sold it. Later, Jeff
I have all 7 of the 67's available. I know there are more of the others, but I prefer the 67's. SO I have all of them in 1/18th scale.
Now, That's one I don't have in my collection, Duane! :TU: Yet. :bglasses: I'd like one of each, in the original colors: Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, please! :TU:
Hmmm I didn't see you have a Black 70 stage 1 conv 4 spd... or a Red 71 gsx conv. I tried to post the picts, but they are too big...
I don't have any yet. Have always wanted to collect die cast cars, but never got started. Myabe now I will :Brow: What are the most expensive ones to get. I have seen several on e-bay, with a huge range of prices on most of them. Dan :3gears:
I dunno about most expensive... The 71 Bittersweet Mist GSX I got for about $50, the one there on ebay sez $125. :eek2:  I'd try keep um under $50 generally, though I paid more than double that for my convertibles. :Brow: I sure would like a 69 convertible GS, but I don't really look for them anymore. o No:
Add these to the 1:18 list: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47188&item=6942731323&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47188&item=6943479070&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=47188&item=6943529562&rd=1 The last car is the "Evergreen" re-issue. Notice the black-center rims. I have most of the 70/71 GS/GSX's on the list with the exception of the "chopped" cars and the junkers. The car that gave me the most difficulty was the Black GSX JL White Lightning 1:64. Maybe 200 of them were made tops.
Here are some more pics of the Johnny Lightning releases: http://www.jlcollector.com/211.html http://www.jlcollector.com/196.html If you scroll through the main car index you will also find the Regal GN/T and Rivieras too.
Duane...how did you build a 1/18 scale model of your X-Camino?? That is just plain cool. Maybe you could post some buildup pics? Im trying to figure out how you cut and spliced up the 2 cars. The paint looks awesome :TU: . Jason
