Brought mine home from winter storage on Wednesday. Backed it off the trailer, did a burnout in front of the house, and pulled the Dodge into the garage. I'm done for the year. No money this year so PSMCDR at Stanton is the only place we will travel to this year, other than the occasional test-n-tune at Milan thru out the season.

Been driving it for 2 weeks. Drive it every chance the weather lets me.

Drove it to work today. Bit nippy this morning (39) but they claim its going to be 70.

    Top down ofcourse..... :bglasses:

Drove the Cobra once two weeks ago.
Been working almost every chance I get on our convertible.
I'm finishing up the new exhaust system right now.
We had the 4 speed trans rebuilt and installed a new Centerforce clutch.
Should be running back on the road very soon.
Been off the road for way too long.

....and to add fuel to the flames, just found out that our lovely lady guv, Jen-Jen has just added another $14 per car per year to bloat up the catastrophic claim premiums to $140+ per year on top of the normal insurance, license fees, etc.

Speaking of licensing fees, they cancelled out the "plate for life" for cars over 25 yrs old and you'll now have to renew it every year like everything else. Kinda painting us in the corner on these cars. I don't think I'm going to license any of them this year and only put comprehensive on them all.

Also going to investigate registering them in another state like Alabama, where I have relatives. Got to be cheaper than this place...

I got my 64 about ready to go on the road and sold it.
Now I have to wait about 11 more days and pick up my 65 that I'm replacing it with! I will be driving it most every day when the weather is good until next winter.
Only problem is I pick the car up on my trip to Montana with the family and we have to tow a horse trailer over with us and it's snowing on the Washington coast on April 2nd!!!
Not one bit of snow this winter here, not one bad icy road drive to work this winter and I'm getting ready to go to Montana in 8 days over three decent passes and we get snow....
I am going even if I have to put chains on the truck and the horse trailer. I will be bringing my car home.

Still need to wet-sand/polish the new paint & then install the hood & trunk lid.
Adjust the glass & put on the two door panels. All the chrome/stainless & the front bumper still yet to put on. New 15" wheels & tires I can do later.

Car is still in the trailer from the pure stocks last year.Opened up the side door today just to take a look inside. I have been collecting parts to finally build another motor for this years race.4 seasons on all the original stuff is long enough for me to chance. I'm hoping to be all together by Stanton.

Both Buicks registered, inspected, running and driving. Will be taking "Betty" to breakfast tomorrow morning. Still have one hole in the floor of the '66 vert to fix before installing the interior.

And in typical Hodges' fashion, that should occur the Friday morning of PSMCDR practice/qualifying. :bla: :bla: :moonu:

I think Donny and Tim follow that same formula for thrashing.:Dou:

My engine is at the rebuilder. I should have some pics soon when it's apart enough to see what is wrong with it.
