I saw a Cornwell dealer today! Nice guy, said they were the oldest tool company. I never heard of them though! So Snap-on, Matco, who's got the best tools (the ones that last and last....)

oh no!!! :Dou: Not this again! I think this was discussed on another thread started by Rob (goldboattail455)

They make other tools besides Snap On? :Do No:

But then again Im a little biased....I work for the service division!

But seriously, Snap On tools are professional quality tools for professional automobile technicians. Everyone has their favorites for one reason or another. If your a weekend mechanic then something like Sears/ Craftsman would suffice. If you rely on your tools to earn a living and use them 8-10 hours a day/every day, then Cornwell, Snap On, S&K, Mac or Matco are the only ones to get.

I work for the equipment service division of Snap On Tools. I fix lifts, racks, jacks, A/C recycling and charging equipment, aligners, gas analysers, brake lathes, dynos etc. Everything except hand held scanners. I'm actually not allowed to use Craftsman or Stanley tools! The only approved tools allowed are the big three...Snap On, Mac or Matco

Its true snap on makes the best , but I never could afford them.
I went with cornwell. they have lasted 40 yrs. the ones that wernt stolen.
    macs are good.
craftsman for the money cant be beat.
a real good way to come up with tools cheap is to hit the pawn shops. be verrrrrrry care full when buying power tools and electronic tools though. Haggle over the price and pick only the best looking and make sure they work before buying.
