Jeremy McNicol We had a good time

Don't lisen to Clary. He is now retired and needs his sleep.

My 5 year old son is all pumped about me racing 3 nights at the fair. If the car holds up to all 3 nights I'll leave after the race Thursday. Can't let little dude down and all I'll miss is party in the pits and some sleep.

So how clogged was this fuel filter?

PS: We should all thank Rob for the invite

Two nights of figure 8 and Auto cross on Thursday

I've won the figure 8 three years in a row with the car
Best finish with the truck is 2nd

Last year won my heat in auto cross and walked into the stands and gave the boy the trophy. Took 3rd in feature & Brett wanted me to win so he could have another trophy
Nine heat wins & three feature wins for a total of 12 trophies.

It was a fun day with friends .Air was over 3200 ft all day. Many guys ran well in less than favourable conditions:3gears: I almost stopped at Morroco on the way home but I was to tired to do it.

Might have something to do with the track prep that everyone was running as well as they did. That track looks as smooth as glass. Since this was my first trip to Route 66, I'm putting the place right up there with Norwalk. My only complaint is with all the road construction on the way there and back, no complaints at all with the track. :TU:

It is a really nice track .I don't think the track prep was all that good for most of the pure stoockers. My best 60 ft there 1.93 was .16 slower than the best the car has gone .But it was better than Martin.I know other guys that had traction issues also but some did not.Was happy running 12.70's in that air with a less than best 60 ft.

I'll bet having to take off your trim rings and hub caps gave you enough more power that you were spinning your tires off the line, resulting in a worse 60 foot time. :bla:

    Just kidding....

but I was really impressed with all the P/S cars that showed up. Maybe next year the word will get around about how great the track is and what a good time everybody had there. I'm already penciling the 2012 Supercar Reunion in on my schedule.

GREAT to have the event local to me. I haven't raced at Rte 66 in at least 4 years because it's always so packed, end up going to Bryon just outside of Rockford or most likely US41 in Morocco, IN. I felt the track was hooking rather well for me. stack of timeslips with 2.0 60fts, which for me is very good. I may not be the best at launching a 4sp, but I don't think I'm the worst. It was also great to see everybody and my buddy Matt who fly in from OKC that a lot of you met had a great time also. The 2012 event is a must attend for next year. Big Thanks to Tom and Rob!!

I have no doubt you will.

I wanted to say it was a blast hanging out with you guys this weekend. It was good to put names with faces. I don't know when I'll have a car nice enough to run but we are penciling in a trip to Chicago.

Sounds like a good weekend. Glad to hear there was a good turn out of pure stockers in attendance. With all the positive feedback, I may just have to check it out next year:beers2:

Weather was a little warm but had a great time!
Bob Jr. had the SC/Rambler and I brought the SC 360, just to drive it, but as you may have noticed it quit running just as I pulled into the parking lot.
Put it into the trailer and drove the SC/ home. Good thing Jr. lives close by.
Someday I may get the Gremlins out of it. Hope it cools down so I can try and get it running again. Other than that we had a great time and hopefully next year will be better. Bob

I just want to *thank* all of you who came out to the Supercar Reunion recently. It was great seeing all of my Pure Stock friends again! Now that Rt. 66 has an idea of what the Supercar Reunion has to offer, we hope to make next year's SCR15 bigger and better!! And of course, all of the PS & FAST racers have an open invite...:beers2:
