The tranny in my 2002 Regal in China is acting up. It is often shifting very hard into the gears with a jolt. It's a leased car, and my driver and the leasing company are making signals like they want to replace it rather than fixing it... Like it's too hard to figure out what's wrong or something. The car only has 60,000 Kilometers on it (about 36,000 miles), still looks like new, and I want to keep it. I gotta think it's something simple. Anybody here know anything about the transmissions in this kind of car? I checked the fluid and it's full. I also attached a pic of it. Pardon me for the golf shoes and the tree growing out if my head.
Mike, I believe that may be the Transaxle Pressure control solenoid valve assembly. Replaceable, but not an easy job. I recommend you join this BB and ask over there, I'm pretty sure that is your problem(seem to remember reading this over there) www.regalgs.org
