    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

About 54" from backing plate to backing plate.

You may be better off with a Nova rear, X-body....I think they are 48"

try a 9 incher out of an old mail jeep. they are usually too narrow for a ford muscle car . Might be just what the RX ordered

I can build you one if you like GM rears. I like the 8.5 rear because the choice of gears is great from 2.73 -557 all on one carrier. Other rears in the GM line usually have the carrier breaks all ove rthe place. PM if you are interested I will get you my number. Jim - J D Race

Measure yours if you get a chance before calling this way we can get right to it. :TU:

ok, i'll try and get around to hit, i'll be busy this weekend.

i have to get a drug test for the new job, and attend a funeral today and tomorrow
but i'm pretty sure it has to be no larger then 58

    according to grannys speed shop

The275/60-15 Drag Radials are on 15x8 Weld Prostars with 5.5" of backspace. The 8.5" 10 bolt GM rear axle has been narrowed, and measures 58" wheelflange to wheelflange with the brake rotors/hats installed

    i'm thinking about putting 295 50 15s on and 15x 10s though..
