George your '67 is an inspiration especially using the auto console with the shifter. I'm still thinking of mimicking the '64 console + 4-speed with the shifter pointed forward. Biggest hurdle is finding or fabbing some pedals- thats where I need some luck!

Ted,at the time i didnt know what else to think of so i altered an auto console to fit the stick which came out pretty good i think too bad Buick never used the automatic platform for the 4-speed console anyways since then i`ve swiched back the original 4-speed console, you will be ok,i think you`ll do it take one thing at a time, good luck again and when get a chance send some progress pics. :TU:

Man, this sounds like a terrific project. You've got to bring this car to Norwalk for us all to check out.

Harv, you dont understand how enjoyable it is to drive it on the highway now, before i used to rev at 3000 when doing 60 mph and it used to annoy the hell outta me cause i wanted to go faster and i could`nt cause the engine would scream, going to the OD tranny is one of the best upgrades i ever did to my car,if you do go with it you wont regret it trust me.

    Thanks

    Fitting in frame

Here is the trannie bolted up temporarily to check fitment. Have to move crossmember forward a couple inches- holes are already there for the Borg-Warner factory 4-speed placement! I had to check my 4-speed car, I did not realize the member was in a different spot.

Do you have to modify the tunnel at all?

Tunnel modify yes! not sure yet how much but it looks like putting a square peg in a round hole. The Shifter is back as far as it would go, it puts it into a pretty good spot in the console. You can kinda see where its going here...I sat on the crossmember and made engine sounds
