Will 70-71 Olds Rear Fit??

    My buddy rebuilt a 70-71 Olds 3.42 posi rear. Will that bolt right in to my 71 Skylark?

    If its a cutlass rear it should bolt right in. I'm not sure about the driveshaft length and yoke. someone else with that info will chime in , I'm sure

    Pinion flange is the same, use the 3R u-joint. The 8.5's started in '71 for both Olds & Buick A-bodys. Driveshaft length will be slightly different between same body style Olds & Buick A-bodys.
