I am not familiar with how water is routed away and out. I have purchased a pair of Kick panels with 6 1/2 inch speaker molded into them. Looks nice. I have no A/C and it gets hot in the summer here. The new panels have no vents built into them. I do remember when I removed my org kick panels some time ago they had a lot of what looked like plumbers putty around the extrusion, probably to create a positive seal where the kick panel extrusion and body opening meet. If I install these new kick panels, behind the panels where no one cann see will be these big openings with air buffeting through them a I whizz down the highway at neck breaking speed! Does this not make me vunerable to water getting in there? I was thinking of doing some custom install for vent using a ford f-150 ac vent in each panel. I guess I could seal those openings then create a new opeing to accomodate the f-150 vent. Any suggestions? I guess unless you own same car nad have attempted iidentical mod it may be difficult to relate...
