Finishing up my car... still... I think I found a radiator/fan combo that will work. I just wanted to get some other peoples' opinions on it.

I'm pretty sure it will fit, if not the company says they have a 28" version. Which one should I go with? My main concern is whether or not it will keep my engine cool. For that much money it should, but it's only a 2 row. It says it outcools 5 row copper/brass radiators and it will cool over 700hp, my engine is pretty much stock. It looks cool, but will it work???

    Thanks...

Thats a pretty serious radiator and if you are planning on keeping your engine "pretty much stock" then it will certainly cool it just fine. However, that is a lot of money to spend on what is way more radiator then you'll probably ever need. I have a mildly built 350 buick that runs at 160 deg. all day long and I'm only running a heavy duty copper radiator from the local parts store, it has about twice the coolant capacity of the stock radiator and only cost like 170 bucks. Just go to the parts store and see if they have a heavy duty or tow package replacement for your car and it should keep everything cool.

Well, I guess I'm going to buy it. I do plan on keeping the engine stock for now. But eventually it will be taken back out & rebuilt. I'd like to never have to worry about it overheating. I was looking at a BeCool setup but it was close to $1k if I remember correctly. That's more than I paid for my whole engine... so this seems like a good price for what it is. Thanks guys...

oh yeah, the 31" will fit, right?

It will fit length wise but I don't know about the heigth. 20" seems awful tall.

Cooling wise it will work fine but probably overkill...

I ran a griffin universal gm radiator ~28" wide. Worked beautifully for my 455 .030 over bore. No thermostat meant 120 degrees tops. It was only ~$170 too. I spent a lot of money trying to get electric fans to work. Never got it cool. Mechanical fans worked great.

    i used a summit 2 core alluminum 31 by 19 for $169 and a 7 blade clutch
fan and a shroud from a v8 cutless. my average temp. is 160 degrees.
on really hot 95 + days it will get up to 185 i slow traffic, and my engine
    has 11.6-1 comp. i use a 160 thermostat.
