Hey guys, I'm looking for the the felt-lined rubber seals that go against the inside door glass for my Regal. I couldn't seem to find them listed at Year One. I did find some listed at www.dixiemontecarlodepot.com that I believe will fit (listed for a Monte of course), but I won't know for sure until I can call them on Monday. In the meantime, what are some other sources for these pieces? Doesn't need to be OEM, reproduction parts are fine.

    Thanx in advance.

PUI has them; Steele rubber parts also . weatherstrip set, window felts, "FUZZIES" usually get inner and outer, also JC whitney.NOTE: most i have seen have outer set for limited style outer weatherstrip (metal piece attaches to top of door). inner strip same all cars. FYI same parts used on same year Cutlass and Grand Prix.

Okay, I looked at Steele's website, maybe I'll have to dig a bit harder. I really don't like how their online catalog is set up, but then again I'm kind of computer dumb. What is PUI? Not familiar with that one.

I'll be honest with you guys. While I do intend to buy these parts for my Regal as well, I initially have an alterior motive for tracking these down. Nice thing about GM is the infinately better availability for older parts. I have mentioned on this board before how hard it is to find this stuff for my Chryslers.

Just noticed that yours is 79 regal. So used to stuff for 84-87. PUI Interiors supplies the window felts for Steele. Call Steele @800 544 8665. The ad page says 64-72 skylark, 66-72 GS, 68-70 LeSabre, and 64,67-60 Riviera. But I got mine from Steele at Charlotte auto fair few years back. PUI has 2 levels of felts- original for restoration/ concourse; and standard for daily drivers where function and cost are concerned. You may be able to make your own from pieces in JC WHITNEY catalog. Serious!!! Just have to get precise measurement of cross section. One detail: you still must replace the plastic piece (curved teardrop?at front)from original to new felts.

Update: inside for 79 regal same as monte. Both were "A" bodies until 81, the regal, cutlass, grand prix became "G" bodies, doors changed design at top.

I called Steele yesterday (didn't see your posts until just now) and they said the later cars were indeed different. Wierd thing is, in the junkyards today I looked at a '79 Cutlass, '78 Monte, an '84 Grand Prix (T-tops, nice car, shame it was in the yard) and an '85 Regal, and they all looked the same. I'll call PUI and see what they have to say on Monday.

Bonus though, I finally landed the drip rail trim pieces I've been hunting for nearly two years.:bglasses:

Crazy as it may seem, have you tried a Buick dealership? I still buy window rubbers for my Regals (even though they are 84/85 models) from the dealer. Just my experience.

    Adam,

Try weatherstripspecial.com. It looks like they may have what you're looking for.
