I had to remove several of the pins that hold the window moulding clips around the front window of my 65 GS. The area needed to be repaired and the pins were in the way. These pins look like the head and first 1/8" of a nail. Is there a method too re-install these pins? I just finished welding up the holes in this area, and do not want to screw the clips through it as the holes will promote rust.

Cheryl, you're familiar with the stud welders used in auto body work?....well, you can buy 'molding rivets' for them to do exactly what you are trying to do. They 'weld' onto the body, and look exacly like the originals!

Thanks Walt. Now to find the rivets and barrow a stud welder.

You can buy screw-in versions also---so you don't have to hassle with the stud welder. Go to Ames Performance or Ames Pontiac Parts--they sell them. Drill a hole and screw these in. Same "nailhead" looking end on them--just like the original ones. Patton
