No sure if this has been posted before:

Here in Arizona there is quite a bit of dust and consequently this dust ends up in the track of the window regulators...dust plus lubricant = slow windows add to that wear and tear you get loose windows.

So here's the secret to remedy the situation. This will require a weekend or so.

    1.) Remove the door panels
2.) Remove the toublesome window tracks/regulators.
3.) Inspect the guide wheels for looseness, and note the size.
4.) Go to Homedpot, Lowes, or your favorite hardware store and purchase nylon window/door rollers (often used in shower glass door etc). NOTE: the size of the roller does not need to match your faulty roller they only need to be reasonably sized. You can trim, cut, and shape the nylon roller to your needs. WHY, because nylon rollers slide very easily especially when the track is clean. I personally shaped mine in an oval.
    5.) Clean all tracks.
6.) Shape the new roller until it fits in the track.
7.) Remove old roller from regulator.
8.) Install your new roller, be sure to use locktight to ensure the screw/nuts on the new roller do not work loose.

    Voila!!!

enjoy your new greaseless and more reliable regulators.
