I pulled out my windshield and the rear window in my 73 Regal to clean up the rust, patch holes, etc.

Now that I'm ready to put the windows back in, what should I use to seal them with? The windshield looked like it was held in with some black goop but the rear window almost looked like a rubber seal.

i personally would take the car + the glass to a professional (apple, standard, etc.) and have them install the glass.

If taking it to the Pros is not an option, what would I use to seal it myself?
I do not have a trailer.

Ive seen pro's lay the rope and then next to it lay a small bead of the 3m sealant

My rear window looked like it had the rope seal on it but I was going to just use the 3M stuff to put it back in. Thanks for the input.
