How difficult (at a reasonable price) do yall think itll be to find a front windshield for a 1970 Riviera??? I was surfin the net and found an auto glass place that wanted $575.00 + shipping.I dont think thats reasonableAny suggestions, Im in Houston, TX, there are plenty of bone-yards here but none have had a windshieldThanksTony

    Thanks Dwayne...

After I submitted my question I noticed that I may have posted it in the wrong section, Thanks for picking it upThe prices that were listed on those past posts were excellent...I called one of the companies this morning and they quoted me $370.00, much cheaper than what I found in Houston but allot more than the prices the other guys paid for their glassI know that the 70 Riviera was a one year design and the production was lower than other years, that may be the big difference in price compared to the GS or the SkylarkThanks again for your helpTony

All the E-Bodys of that time, The '66 -'70 Riviera, '66-'70 Toronado and the '67 -'70 Eldorado all used the same windshield glass.
So, if you are able to find a Toro or Eldo in a yard with good glass that is another option. :beer

Man you guys are a encyclopedia of knowledge and I really appreciate your helpIf what youve stated is true (not that I doubt you) about the 66 thru 70 E-bodys, then I surely should be able to get lucky at the local bone-yardIll take a few measurements and go huntin next weekend.Looks like youve had you share of Buicks, gotta love thatThanks again, Tony

    Call SafeLite, 1-800-800-ASAP

I get all my windshield from them and they are nationwide. Skylark is about $165-175. I install my own windshields. If you want them to install it, charge is $50.

    Thanks George...

I called SafeLite this morning and they quoted me $464.00 installed ($404.00 uninstalled)While the price is a bit higher than the other suggestion I received from a V8 member a few days ago, coming to my house and installing it is a major plus and it still beats the local Houston price I foundI also asked them about cross-referencing other models that have the same windshield and the price was the same, although if another year or make fit my Riv, then I have a better chance of finding the other vehicles at the bone-yardThanks again, have a great weekendTony
