    I did a search on the board for this and came accross some help, but not enough to make me feel comfortable to tackle the job.

    I also went through Manuals @ the GS65.com website without any luck.

    The previous Owner replaced the wiper motor incorrectly at some point and time and it parks @ a 45 degree angle, which is dab smack in the worst place it possibly could. I can tweak it, to stop in the right place, but it is annoying, if not down right unsafe.

    So I have to remove the wiper arms and reset with the wiper arms after the wiper motor is the parked position. This solution escaped the previous owner, so I have the prestigious job of tackling it.

    I thought these links might be helpful for anyone who might come accross the same issue;

    http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152800517f0 Gives a good idea of what the clip looks like in part #3.

    http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/ccrp_0811_project_car_builds_tips_and_tricks/photo_19.html Using KD tool 2039.

    I have ordered 1 from Napa for ~ $14.

    Will post back once I have actually removed the wiper arm.

    OK, finally back to my 65 Vert, been busy on Dirt Bike projects.

    So I "finally" got around to removing the wiper arms, with the tool, it took 1 second each, in a word "wow". First one popped off about 2 feet, w/o any damage to the paint, wasn't expecting it to come off so easy, nor with that amount of recoil force. The second one, I held onto the wiper arm, popped right off.

    If you use a screwdriver, you are setting yourself up for failure. If you "need" to remove the wiper arms for any reason, get this tool, awesome !!!

    I did it once without the tool.....never again! I sat there for hours using a pick and a screw driver and it was such a hassle I put the new ones on without a clip and figured I'd put the clips in when I have the tool:Do No:

    Im not sure how it is on the early cars like a 65, but on the later cars like my 70 and 71, the drivers side wiper arm has a keyway so it only goes on one way.

    I would look at the lever that bolts to the wiper motor first. There's a possibility that lever can go on more than one way. It might be on 180 degrees off.

    After replacing automotive glass for over 10yrs, I've pulled off thousands of wipers. Save your sanity and possibly your paint and just get the tool. You may only use it a couple of times. But it's money well spent.:TU:
