I need to know how to remove the wipers from a 63 Wildcat. The chassis and body manuals have absolutely nothing in them. I've scoured both manuals. Thanks for the help.

I dont know about the older cars Sarge, (below 1967) but there is a special tool for removing wiper arms from the splined shaft. It pushes in a locking tab & then pull the wiper arm off. If you use a small mirror & direct it upward under the arm, you should be able to see the tab. I have this tool. I don't know where I got it, it just ended up in my tool box somehow & someone told me what it was. Be careful around that windshield! I learned that the hard way once & bought a windshield for my Trans Am.

Sarge I think those are on a tapered spline shaft . If you take something like a screwdriver or a metal rod and just get under the edge of the wiper arm and keep working it up it will pop loose . But as stated before when around a windshield be very careful . Another one that had to find out the hard way .

This is how you do it...Get the "rubbers off"...windsheild wipers. They will pop off, but like he said be real careful. They are a B!tch to get off.
