I need the diagram for the forward wiring harness for my 70 skylark 455. I know, the skylark doesn't have a 455, but the Electra did and I shoehorned it in there. I used the forward harness, and the voltage regulator, but the battery won't charge. It was fine in the electra. So, I have to chase it down. If someone has it, and can scan it, and would e-mail it.... I would be most grateful. So would the student that's working on it. psalm121@shentel.net Thanks all, Paul Strassner Instructor :Smarty: Automotive Technology Certifiable Car Nut :3gears:
Paul, Get a factory shop manual. Cost is typically 50-75 on Ebay. Using the Electra harness on the Skylark model, you will end up with a lot of unused wires. Also, when you installed your 455, you should have completely unwrapped the harness and inspected it for cuts/nicks/abrasions/broken wires. I always do this and always find "repairs" by previous owners. Take the alternator out and make sure it works. Autozone offers free testing.
