    Has anyone used this cam?

    Wolverine Part #WG-5066
    Advertised Duration - 290-300
    Duration @ .50 - 224-234
    Lift at 1.6 - 493-517
    Intake Lobe Center 107
    Exhaust Lobe Center 117
    Lobe seperation 112

    Wondering the idle quality.

    Thanks, Jeff

From the duration numbers at .050 and lobe separation, it seems that it would have a noticeable idle, but not rough. Probably have decent vacuum for brakes too.

I have a 84 t-type. I used a 73 block with a 70 rotating assembly. 68 stage 1 400 heads with bowl work and light porting and I'm using 68 1.6 rockers. I feel like I have to stay around .500 lift because my valve train is factory 68 parts and aftermarket valve springs. I have a lunati 33302 cam. It's 224/234 at .050. .480/.503 lift. 112 lobe separation. 1 7/8 ta headers. poston intake which I plan to change to a performer. and a 3.73 posi. carb 850 barry grant. and a MsD. and a 200r4 with mods and a 2400 stall. I should be around 11 to 1 which I think would make the cam too small. it left hard and ran a dull 14.0 @97mph. I would like to put the biggest cam I can without killing the valve train as I am very poor. Also I use kenne bell adjustable pushrods. My thinking was somewhere around 250@50 and a .500 lift not sure about the lobe centers. These parts were contributed by my dad would appreciate any input. I want to run 12s.

the motor is all buick parts less cam 60 was 1.8 and we just tossed the cam in on the marks we have found we are at 70# on the springs

You're not at 11:1 SCR unless the heads have been milled. What does the chamber cc's measure?

Man, something else is wrong. Not the cam. My street car has a tiny 224/236 straightline performance cam and runs low 12s at 110mph. It's not light at 3932 lbs. I have 9:1 compression. This car only runs 1.79-1.81 60s with sticky streets. Your motor must have the cam installed wrong or you have a fuel supply issue or something. Check your fuel lines. I picked up .4 once just changing out a 90deg fitting.

A couple years ago we built a 85 regal for bubba with a very mild 455. TA310 cam, speed pros and zero porting on the 70' small valve heads. Car won BB regal the first time he ever drove the car at bowling greens. 12.60s around 105. I mean this car has very little motor but runs great.

I don't thinks its your parts. There's got to be something holding you back.

Hey Jeff. That cam has similar duration specs as my TA290-94H.I have about 9.5 c.r.The idle is a bit choppy, vibrates the car a bit, anyone can tell the car has a cam in it.Like I said, not a big rumpy idle.Hope this helps.Later,Tony.
